Hello from Williams, Arizona (just west of Flagstaff and south of the Grand Canyon)!  We are in the Circle Pines KOA RV Park and this is our final stop before we head home tomorrow.

We arrived here on Wednesday and covered the 450 miles from Olathe, CO without problems.  The park was just about deserted when we arrived on Wednesday and we enjoyed a peaceful and quiet day on Thursday.  We didn’t go anywhere or do anything other than just relax until going out for a nice dinner in Williams.  We needed that after the busyness of our last couple of weeks!

Friday was a golf day.  Last year when we were in Sedona, we played at the Sedona Golf Resort and I provided some constructive feedback in an online review.  To their credit, the GM reached out and eventually sent a certificate for a free round of golf for two of us.  Since the certificate was going to expire at the end of the month, we wanted to make sure that we took advantage of it.  Frankly, it isn’t our favorite course in the area, but any day on the golf course is a good one – especially when it’s free!

The views from anywhere in the Sedona area are pretty spectacular.  The panoramic shot at the top of the blog is from one of the tee boxes and the following two are just random shots from the day.

Saturday was our final trike ride of the trip.  We headed for Sedona again – this time we took the scenic route down 89A through Oak Creek Canyon.  Here’s a quick video that Dotty grabbed…

We had lunch at one of our favorite stops in Sedona – the Mesa Grill at the Sedona Airport.  The airport sits on top of a big flat-top mesa south of downtown.  We’ve never been disappointed with the food and the views are great.  Try it out if you ever visit Sedona.  This was the view from our seats on the outside patio:

After lunch, we spent a little time riding around the Sedona area and once again enjoying the spectacular views and rock formations:

Today (Sunday) is the final day here and we will head for home tomorrow (Monday).  We’ve been relaxing this morning and will begin the process of packing things up this afternoon.  This has been a good decompression stop before we arrive home tomorrow.

Tomorrow we will drive about 350 miles to home.  We have already turned the air conditioning down in the house so it will be ready when we arrive.  It will be a long day by the time we’re done, as we usually try to get everything unloaded on arrival.  That way we can clean up first thing on Tuesday morning before the RV gets returned to its home.

We will do one final wrap-up blog once we arrive home.

Thanks for following along…..
